Bill Bolton’s Birthday Party
Saturday, August 8, 2009 was set as the day to celebrate the birthday of one of the founding fathers of the Austin Healey Club of Oregon. Bill Bolton celebrated his 80th birthday with the help of a large number of friends from the Healey Club as well as family, friends and neighbors from the Eugene/Springfield and Creswell area. Those of us who are members of the AHCO can thank Bill for his participation and leadership in the formation of ther Club in 1975, 34 years ago.
On Saturday several Club members spent the morning touring down the Willamette Valley before arriving at the Creswell Community Center to participate in the birthday pot luck lunch and party. Thanks again, Bill, for all that you have done for the Austin Healey owners in the Northwest and beyond.
Happy Birthday Bill………………….80 years young!
Thanks Bill for all of the help you have given us from the very start of our getting our 100-6 on the road, as well as helping us keeping it on the road. You are a mentor and friend for so many of us in the club. What a great way to celebrate your 80th Birthday!! It was so good to see members we haven’t seen for a while. The total day was special, starting with the tour of the Brass Ring in Albany. Thanks Jim Averill for finding such a good attraction. Jaci & George

Glad you made this hallmark in your life. Thank you for all of the many, many tech sessions that assisted us and many other club members in restoring and keeping our cars on the road. Also thanks for acting as tour leader on so many cross country trips. May you have many more birthdays. We are sorry we could not make it to your special event, but our wishes still go out to you.
Bill, Marilynne and I wish you a happy birthday. The party was great and we noticed you must really enjoy a good party as you were one of the last to leave. It was great to see you. Pat and many of our Eugene/Springfield, lower Willamette Valley AHCO members. Pat, you did a great job in organizing this party and in pulling off a real surprise on Bill.
