Seeking Candidates for 2011 Club Officer Positions
This year’s Club officer nominating committee of Jeff Mach, Jack Jakobsen, and Allan Gross are seeking Club members who want to run as candidates for the Club offices of:
President Vice President
Secretary Treasurer
Activities Director Regalia Director
Membership Director Advertising Director
The responsibilities of these positions are described in the Club’s Bylaws, which is available online here. There are no prerequisites for holding an AHCO office, except that the President must have previously been a member of the Club’s Executive Board. The position of Advertising Director may or may not be continued in 2011. The Club’s Executive Board recently decided to suspend the activities of the Advertising Director pending a review of whether their position should be continued and if not, membership approval of such a change to the Club’s bylaws.
The Club bylaws encourage regular changes in members serving as Club officers and a club like ours survives and prospers through the active participation of its members. I encourage all Club members to consider running for one of the Club officer positions to help guide the Club and keep it vital in 2011. For all you members who have served as officers in the past, thank you, but please consider becoming a officer candidate again also.
